Itinerary
Start your adventure by departing from Kampala in the morning. Enjoy a scenic drive eastwards, passing through Mbale, towards Mount Elgon. Marvel at the beautiful landscapes along the way. After a 3-4 hour drive, arrive at Mount Elgon, an impressive extinct volcano. Set up camp at Bunamasifu (1250m) and prepare for the climb. Enjoy lunch and dinner surrounded by the stunning natural surroundings.
Embark on a challenging trek up the steep and rugged Sasa Route. Prepare for a demanding but rewarding climb as you make your way towards higher altitudes. Set up camp at Sasa River Camp (2900m) and take in the breathtaking views. Enjoy breakfast, lunch, and dinner amidst the tranquility of the mountain.
